Visiting Grupo Capoeira Brasil Founders, Contra-Mestres
and Instructors from throughout North America and Brazil
led 12 workshops over 5 days culminating with the Batizado
graduation ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Congratulations to all of those who were newly “baptized”
into the group and to those who graduated to a new cord.
A huge thank you goes out to Mestre Boneco, Mestre Paulinho
Sabia, Mestre Paulao Ceara who, without fail, dedicated
their time, leadership and amazing energy to the events.
Also, big thank you to instrutora Promessa who came to share
her growing knowledge for the second time in New York and
also the following who made an extra effort to ensure the
event went off without a hitch: Joy, Esquilo, Thalita, Tomate,
Ratinho, Foquinha, Maozinha, Marimbondo, Bailarina, Olho
de Gato, Avalanche, Cabeca, Borracha, Fadinha, Pedrita,
Cenoura, Vassoura, Fofo, Sue, Apache, Risadinha, Melao,
Tartaruga, Tatu, Carrapicho, Sunga, Filosofo, Bochecha,
Amem, Francezinha, Margerate, Lee, and Bogota Restaurant
for hosting the fabulous after party. |
